About the lake
New Mill Carp lake is approximately 7 acres in size and is equipped for 4 anglers on a lake exclusive or individual basis. A stunning lake surrounded by mature trees with lily pads and natural margins.
There are 4 large comfortable swims plus one stalking swim. You can opt to stay in our lovely two bedroom modernised farmhouse, which provides luxury accommodation for 4 or you can choose to drive & survive and make use of the waterside cabins for overnight accommodation. Swims 1 & 2 also have room for you to put up your bivvy, the chioce is yours.

The Lake
Our Carp
Our current stock runs to mid 40's and there is a good mix of both commons and mirrors including some stunning scaly fish. More virgin fish were added in the winter of 2020 comprising of uncaught specimens in excess of 40lbs! Our ongoing feeding program using only the best pellet will ensure that the future of our stock is very bright. We have already seen some very encouraging weight gains. We have also added in December 2022 16 fast growing commons that come from a good strain and are known to grow to mid 70's, hopefully they will do well with us.
In addition to the Carp we have hand selected and stocked we have some originals, they continue to surprise us and we look forward to seeing a few more come out over the 2023 season. The lake bed is firm with a fine covering of silt. Depths range from a few feet in the margins down to 13’ with mature lily pad features. There are 4 swims; 1 double, 2 large singles spread around 2 of the 4 banks ensuring there is ample water allocated to each angler.
